I’ve often wondered to what extent technology could become and will become integrated within our lifestyles and personal being. With wearable technologies being pushed further and further, it’s only a matter of time before advances in miniaturization and hardware including bio-technology advancement allow for completely transparent technology applications that, through their incorporation within our being, become part of who we are. Convenience and ease of use is one thing, but I like being able to take my watch off at the end of the day; I’m not so sure I want my technology embedded in my clothing or screened onto my skin. This article explores what some might call a trend toward a cyborg-like future.
