Iceman Baldyisms

From profound to profane to pointless and back, these are the thoughts that occur to me that I find worth noting. Remember, you saw it here first.

Live Life in 3D: Dream, Document, Do.
No more need be said.

Optimize time, maximize profit.
This is the thought that I keep at the forefront of my mind whenever I sit at the keyboard and begin working on a project to improve my websites. It’s so easy to get distracted by social networking, research, curiosity and general reading while connected to the internet. Before you know it, hours have passed and you have nothing to show for your time while being that much further from your goals of personal and financial freedom. In other words: Do less, make more.

There is no profit without product.

I don’t care what your product is, you’ve got to have a presence and cause some motion to make some money. If you’re not selling a digital product, you need to sell a physical product. If you’re not selling a physical product, you need to offer a service. If you’re not offering a service, you need to provide some value. Any exchange of money is done in return for meeting a need where satisfaction of the need is greater than the money expended to meet the need. Help someone get pleasure or get rid of pain and you will be paid handsomely for providing the means to an end.

Design Drives Desire.
It’s all a matter of making an emotional connection with a sales prospect. I love Apple computers because of the beautiful and easy to use interface in addition to their fantastic sense of industrial design and style. Buy any of their products and you take as much joy in opening the packaging as you do enjoying the physical device before doing anything by way of use. More and more of our everyday purchases are influenced by design, from mobile phones to can openers. Just make sure you get more performance than parade from your product purchases.

Positivity Begets Prosperity
I’m not a big advocate of the Law of Attraction but I do believe that when you focus on the positive things in your life and the positive factors inherent in your personal situation and circumstances, better things come your way and your attitude motivates you to act in a way that ensures even greater success. Conversely, if you focus on all the negative aspects of your condition, you waste time and energy focused on your past and present while taking no productive steps toward creating a desired future.
