I’ve Created a QR Code to Market My Weblog

QR codes are the new versions of bar codes that offer two-dimensional, high-speed, reliable decoding. The codes have become very popular in manufacuring and are also being used to code contact information, websites and other detail that is easily coded using any number of websites and decoded using popular scanning applications on mobile phones.

I made my own QR code for IcemanBaldy.com at Zxing, and have featured it in the lower portion of my weblog. When scanned, you get my name, email address, website, and a brief bio line. Don't be surprised when you see QR codes on business cards or when people begin using their mobile phones to scan and share QR coded contact information.

Go ahead and scan the code above and watch the magic happen.
