TV is far from dead. In fact, it appears that many of us are enhancing our television experience by using computers and mobile devices while viewing to look up facts or comment publicly about what we’re watching.
As an example, the next time you’re watching an awards program, check http://search.twitter.com to see what others are saying in live time using the awards show name as a topic. You’ll be amazed and amused at the conversations taking place in the background.
This HBR slideshow will show that we are all still consuming TV content, but we’re using different tools and appliances to interact and engage the media that’s available. In many cases we’re creating our own content and that can be as entertaining or more fun to watch than the primary program.
