The world will become a place where you either use a tablet computer or you don’t.
Neither will be right or wrong but will simply distinguish those of us who choose to use a tablet in addition to our other computing or media devices from those who haven’t found the need or don’t quite agree that using a tablet will enhance their current experience.
As this Wired article suggests in comments attributed to tech writer Matthew Guay, tablet computers are the microwave of today. When first introduced, people didn’t see the need for this new appliance with promises of faster and more efficient food preparation. Now, microwaves are everywhere and used in addition to conventional ovens along with other food preparation devices that fill niche purposes.
Have you joined the first phase of tablet users who have come to love their original iPads or will you be one of the second generation of users who have so many new options to choose from? Maybe you’ll continue to hold out because you believe food tastes best when prepared the old fashioned way and tablets are just a waste of money. What do you think?
