The MacBook Air: A $2.2 Billion-a-Year “Quasi-Tablet” [Digital Daily]
“With all the chatter over the iPad 2, the iPhone 4 and its successor, it’s easy to forget that Apple has another ultra-portable device that’s doing quite well at market: the MacBook Air.”
There are several great new products in the Apple arsenal. I’ve been using my iPad almost exclusively when on the go and leaving my MacBook Air in my bag, ready whenever I need the extra computing power.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) I haven’t needed the extra power and the MacBook Air has been a bit neglected. Looks like it may become most useful during travel and extended time away from home when I don’t have access to my iMac and the iPad just won’t cut it for prolonged productivity needs. Still a great machine but the iPad is getting better and better at solidifying its place in the personal computing food chain.
