The Sony RX100 Strikes Back: Sony RX100 II

Just when my Ricoh GR was becoming my favorite pocket camera, I’m now giving the RX100 II a full test as a new pocketable photography tool. The built-in wifi, NFC, tiltable screen, excellent video quality, image stabilization and Zeiss 1.8 zoom lens make it a photo geek’s dream. Granted, the GR’s APS-C sensor and ergonomics are amazing and without a doubt, best-in-class, the decision isn’t a matter of which one to keep but how to justify keeping both. Together, they are a pocketable photographer’s dynamic duo with the Sony RX100 II playing Robin to the Batman that is the Ricoh GR.
