Aside from cameras, I also have a thing for music–I love hip hop and hip hop requires proper headphones and speakers. This has always been true from the days of the boom box over the shoulder to the Walkman and whatever cans (headphones) were best suited to your style and listening preferences. The same holds true for me today. While my smartphone delivers the tunes via numerous apps or from an installed library, my output devices continue to demonstrate diversity and variety.
From filling a room with bass to a quiet nap on an airplane, I’m almost as much of an audiophile as I am a photophile. In this picture, you see the majority of what I’m currently using–The JBL Extreme and Flip 3 are my wireless speaker favorites at home with a Bose SoundLink Mini (not pictured) keeping it real at the office. My Beats Powerbeats and Powerbeats Wireless keep the rhythm going while traveling or in the gym.
I use the other headphones and speakers as additional carry partners in my vehicles or in a travel bag just to make sure I have something available when the music hits me–most were purchased because I forgot to bring my preferred speaker/headphones when I needed one. It’s probably time to clear some inventory, but for now, this is the band.
